To the north of York Region is Barrie and the Muskoka Lakes, and south along the shores of Lake Ontario are Oakville and Burlington, also covered by FoundLocally. The key geographical feature in this area is the Niagara Escarpment which provides stunning lake views from Collingwood all the way to Tobermory. The waters off Tobermory are home to Fathom Five National Park, renowned by scuba divers the world over for its deep clear waters.

Victoria has a long tradition of hospitality. It was once the first stop off the ocean-going ship from ethe East Coast or Europe on the way to the Gold Rushes of the 1850's, and it was a British Navy post until very recent history, so was host to visiting sailors and dignitaries. Seaside cities always seem to be gteeming with great restaurants, nightlife, and other fun happenings.
